Taking in the Good
Our minds move countless times throughout the day. One moment we are focused on cooking breakfast or checking a message, the next we are engaged in an intense conversation with a co-worker or lost in a long forgotten memory. Much of what we see, think, feel, and do seems to be either mundane and insignificant, or worse, negative and difficult.
From the perspective of meditation, having a meaningful, happy life, moment by moment, depends greatly on what we focus on. In particular, we can train our minds to notice what is positive in our everyday experience through developing that skill in meditation. This training results in an overall improved mood, optimistic outlook, and greater love for oneself and others.
All are welcome to this evening of guided and silent meditation, followed by a meditation talk.
